What's in a Name, Vol. 16: NOSTOS

Nostos
Translation:
Nostos (Ancient Greek: νόστος)
In ancient Greek society,
nostos was considered a significant achievement. The homeward journey was typically perilous and lengthy, often marked by shipwrecks and various other hardships. Upon return, the hero would strive to uphold or even enhance their reputation and identity.

Inspiration:
What if history could be brought to life and relived? The ache of nostalgia is a part of existence, reminding humanity of the beauty of times long gone. While truly returning to the past is impossible, scent has the ability to trigger an emotional response so strong it feels like a living memory. The right fragrance can provide echoes of lives once lived, loves once lost, victories once achieved...

Revelation:
This bittersweet harmony of mandarin, saffron, Turkish rose, jasmine, sandalwood and more is a fragrant trip down memory lane, created to evoke the poignant, often painful, beauty of what it means to be nostalgic. Return to the past, if only for a few moments, through the magic of olfaction.

I am always intrigued by any new fragrance that ELDO accounces, and Nostos sounds like something I would enjoy. However, reading the above “Return to the past, if only for a few moments …” (and the “if only for a few moments” is italicized) makes one think that the fragrance is not going to have much presence or longevity. Either this is a warning to the customer or a very poorly worded marketing phrase. I would recommend finding other words to describe the experience unless it is exactly what they mean, the experience will only last “for a few moments.”
