EAU DE PROTECTION

FULL DESCRIPTION
A bleeding rose. A candy rose. A rose that tastes of fresh milk, a talcum powdered baby’s bottom, a wealth of sugared kisses. At Etat Libre d’Orange, the Virgin rarely wanders far from the Whore. Perhaps she is one and the same. Warmed by the fire of this woman, the noses have embraced a fanciful vision. They have created for her a perfume of protection, a refuge on the battlefield of love. Defensive yet transparent, Eau de Protection conceals as it reveals. For her, a caress is demanded, while those around her are struck with awe. The noses have extracted that which is most profound in her, the essence of her. They have distilled her honey and squeezed the juice from her heart.
MAIN NOTES
Black pepper, ginger, Bulgarian rose, bergamot, jasmine, benzoin from Laos, blood accord, patchouli, incense, cocoa

Not a huge rose and powdery note fan, but the ginger and pepper and irony blood accord in this one makes it such an interesting and incensy beautiful rose that has a metallic glint and edge to it. Its a perfect "cold" winter perfume (vs. a warm and gourmandy scents that's so popular right now for the winter). It starts off airy and powder and floral and the dry down is spicy and slightly warmer than the initial spray. Another reviewer said it reminded them of a hot rich vampire and that's pretty accurate -- like a hot rich vampire that is haunting a cold and concrete city.
This is the perfume version of drinking a kombucha. It’s different…bizarre…but in the best way. Something about it just keeps bringing you back to it.
I love rose, but not if it's too sweet and powdery. I prefer a rose that smells like it has a story behind it. Eau de Protection has a beautiful deep and almost smoky aura to it. It softens nicely but maintains its sexy feel.
I’m pleasantly surprised with this perfume. I had gotten discovery sets from this brand and I loved most of the scents, but this one was a blind purchase by simply liking the scents description. I love it!
I love love this perfume so much but it does not last :( 1 hours tops. But the smell is like how you would imagine a hot rich vampire would smell like. Very sexy indeed.
