Happy Bastille Day!

What do Fireworks, Revolution, and the Champs-Élysées have in common?
Bastille Day.

Simply put, Bastille Day is a French National Day that celebrates the anniversary of Storming of the Bastille on 14 July 1789, a turning point of the French Revolution, a pivotal day that paved the way for the France we have today.

The day’s celebrations usually include a vast air show and parade down the Champs-Élysées, featuring around 4,000 military personnel followed by a fireworks display at the Eiffel Tower watched by tens of thousands of spectators.

A French celebration of revolution. Sounds right up our alley, doesn’t it?

This year, we invite you to join the celebrations with your senses and from across the ocean with our Bastille Day Set. Featuring three of our French Libertine scents (Archives 69, Fils de Dieu and Putain des Palaces), this special edition set is not to be missed:

ARCHIVES 69

69 Rue des Archives is the address of Etat Libre d’Orange. It is the essence of Etat Libre d’Orange. A perfume designed to free the senses, to open the heart to all the possibilities. It is an invitation to pleasure, an ode to seduction. It comes without restrictions, rules or regulations. An utterly unique, medicinal Camphor blend with the spice of Pink Pepper and Incense. All rounded by light floral notes of Orchid and sweet Prune.
FILS DE DIEU

An escape from conformity, an emotional fragrance, a scent that requires a sympathetic connection between the server and the served, the giver and the taker, and the willingness to exchange roles. In this composition you will find an innocent wisdom that points to dreams and liberation. This is the golden eye that reflects beauty and conflict, rapture and pain. A refreshing zest of lime and ginger, spiced with cardamom and coriander, soothed with aromatic shiso and rice, infused with the tropical warmth of the creamy coconut.
PUTAIN DES PALACES

Sheer sensuous fantasy. The powdered top note evokes a woman who dresses for seduction - a soft trail of lipstick, the rustling of lace. The intimate ritual of a femme fatale who sees right through the fragile armor of men. Her sophistication is intriguing, as is the commerce she makes of her body. Under the bitter-sweet touch of almond, like a secret that unfolds, comes a hint of supple leather, fluid and flexible, that introduces what is to come: a boudoir, fingers that tighten on a leatherette sofa and the palpable presence of raw desire. She is a woman of fantasy in a real world - you can see her, hear her, touch her and smell her - and then she’s gone. The thrilling moments may never be recaptured.

We invite you to commemorate this special day with us, to escape conformity and constraints, to allow your senses to roam free and end with a spectacular show of fireworks. After all, true freedom deserves a proper celebration.
